Barley Straw is a traditional and natural way to clear away blanket weed, green water and algae.

This treatment will take 2-6 weeks to completely clear as it relies on the bacterial breakdown of the straw to generate peroxide which kills the algae – this depends on water temperatures and specific pond conditions.
